RULES: Ultimate Frisbee (5v5)

The tournament will be held at the sports hall of the ESRM.

Two 28 m x 15 m fields will be set up, including a 4 m end zone on each side.

Rules:

At each end of the field, there is an end zone. Each team defends one.

The pull will be executed by the home team (means the one on the left of the schedule).

How is the pull performed?

Ex: The pull is performed by A throwing the disc from behind the end zone line towards Team B.

4 possible scenarios:

  • The disc goes out of bounds without hitting the ground → Team B retrieves the disc and plays from the center of the field

  • The disc hits the ground on the field → Team B picks up the disc and plays from the point of impact

  • Team B catches the disc → Team B plays

  • Team B attempts to catch the disc but drops it → Team A takes possession of the disc and plays from the point of impact

Scoring a point

A player scores a point when they pass the disc to one of their teammates inside the opposing end zone. The player must be entirely within the end zone — that is, at the moment of the catch, they must not have any contact with the area outside the end zone—to score 1 point. Attackers cannot “stay” in the end zone.

When Team A scores a point, Team A returns to the halfway line, and Team B starts with a pass from behind their end zone line to their own players (in their own half). After the first pass, Team A may actively defend.

The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

When holding the Frisbee, players are not allowed to move. However, upon catching the Frisbee, a few steps are permitted to prevent the player from falling.

Players may pivot on one foot before throwing.

This is a non-contact sport: a distance of approximately 1 meter between the attacker and the defenders is required. It is prohibited to hit the hand, arm, or even the Frisbee while it is in a player’s possession.

When does a team lose possession of the Frisbee? Team A loses possession of the disc:

  • if the Frisbee hits the ground,

  • if Team B knocks the Frisbee to the ground, if Team B catches the Frisbee in flight,

  • if the Frisbee is passed from hand to hand,

  • if the carrier takes more than 10 seconds to throw it again. The referee is in charge of this rule.

Play resumes where the Frisbee landed, unless it went out of bounds (in which case play resumes where the Frisbee went out of bounds).

RULES: Football foot
(5v5)

The tournament will be held at the sports hall of the ESRM.

Two 28 m x 15 m fields will be set up.

Rules:

  • The winning team is the one that scores the most goals in the opponent’s goal.

  • The field will be approximately 28 x 15 meters with walls on three sides around it to facilitate play (like futsal). On one length side, the field will be open. When the ball goes out of bounds, it needs to be rolled back into the game (roll in). The other length side is played banded. Behind the goal is out and it’s played with keeper or corner ball.

  • Roll-ins are taken from the hand from the spot where the ball went out of bounds.

  • Sliding tackles is prohibited.

  • There is no offside rule.

  • Handling the ball is prohibited, except for the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball within the 3-point-area of the basketball lines. The keeper can fly but cannot be changed unless for substitution.

  • Fouls: no-contact rule. Any contact initiated by a defender or attacker may result in an offensive or defensive foul.

  • If a foul occurs inside the penalty area, a penalty kick will be awarded 7 meters from the goal.
