Below you will find the application forms for pre-primary, primary or secondary school, as well as an overview of the school fees.

Registration and Admission Requirements

All students who have been promoted at a state or comparable Gymnasium in a member state can enroll at the European School RheinMain with no further admission conditions. There will be an interview with student and parents. Students who do not fulfill these conditions or come from a non-European country will be invited to interview and then a decision will be made about admission or whether further assessment should be carried out.
A basic principle of the European Schools is to integrate all students quickly and thoroughly into the system and not to be selective. The school will endeavour to enable every student to take the European Baccalaureate.

School Fees

Pre-Primary Fees

The state funding for the Pre-Primary of € 149,16 per month for the fee reduction of Pre-Primary is automatically deducted from the fees. Families registered outside Hessen will only receive the sibling reduction.

Naturally, all inquiries shall be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Sibling Discount:
2nd child up to 180,000 euros annual income 25% discount
3rd child up to 230,000 euros annual income 50% discount
4th child up to 280,000 euros annual income 50% discount
If your income is very high, you will have to pay the full school fees.

There is no income verification for the sibling discount. The ESRM relies on self-assessment.
The sibling discount requires an application.

School Fee Reduction:

ESRM is a non-profit organisation. Accordingly, it is not permitted to generate sustained profits. Special care must be taken to ensure that tuition reductions are granted based on actual need.

This entails an obligation to cooperate regarding the disclosure of income and assets, which must be provided to the school upon request if a tuition fee reduction is being applied for. Proof is usually provided by the income tax assessment notice. The relevant basis is the total of all positive income plus any transfer income. The entire household is taken into account. Losses and deductions of any kind are generally not considered.

All information will be treated with strict confidentiality.

A tuition fee reduction can only be considered if no other financial support or funding from the state, employer, or other sources is available.
In addition, financial hardship is a prerequisite.
Household members, parents, or legal guardians who are fit to work must not refuse employment.
Full tuition exemption (scholarship) can generally be granted for a maximum of one child per family to ensure broader distribution of this highest level of reduction.
Tuition reductions are granted for one school year and are reviewed annually to determine whether they will continue.
There is no legal entitlement to tuition reductions beyond the school year for which they have been granted.
In the event of special family hardship or circumstances, the tuition fee may be reviewed during the current school year.

The basis for these far-reaching tuition reductions is the funding for alternative schools provided by the State of Hesse.
